Homair Vacances is the European leader of mobile home holidays, offering accommodation in high-end campsites in France and Southern Europe to clients from the UK, France and Northern Europe. Its main brands are Homair Vacances, Eurocamp and Al Fresco. The group owns and operates more than 16,000 mobile homes on over 150 campsites in Europe.
Montefiore Investment originally acquired a majority stake as part of a growth buy-out transaction alongside the founder. Between 2006 and 2014, Montefiore Investment supported the transformation of Homair Vacances from a French SME into a European leader in its market: company revenues and value increased by a factor of 10. Regular investments in campsites, quality-improvement of mobile homes and a refreshed management structure were all combined to foster this growth.
In 2014, Montefiore Investment re-invested in Homair Vacances as a strategic minority investor alongside Carlyle, with the objective to reinforce the European leadership of the group and to accelerate its profitable development, combining organic growth, targeted acquisitions (such as Eurocamp in the UK) and synergies within the group.
Homair, who now has more than 1 million clients becomes European Camping Group in April 2017.
